Contribute Photographs to the NLC Photo Database
- Represents all geographies and landscapes of North America;
- Spans the urban-to-wilderness continuum;
- Reflects the diversity of values to which landscape conservation can be applied – climate resilience, outdoor recreation and health, biodiversity and habitat connectivity, water quality, cultural heritage, working landscapes and sustainable economies, and more;
- And contains both place-based images as well as images of the collaborative process of landscape conservation.
Why: We are currently in the process of a website redesign (stay tuned, the new website will launch by the end of the year). We need photographs to populate the website (as well as additional NLC communications products) and want these images to be representative of the wonderful work of our partners from all corners of the country and continent.
How: Upload high-resolution photographs directly to the NLC file by clicking here. Please email Emily Bateson (subject: NLC Photographs) after uploading photographs to list relevant photo credits and general locations of shared images; photos will be credited on the image itself or in an associated photo index, depending on the medium (Note: please be explicit if there are any specific requirements or restrictions for the use of the image).
Many thanks for your willingness to help the Network on this front. Our hope is that if many of our partners each contribute a handful of images, the result will be a dynamic photo database that represents the diversity, nuance, and powerful impact of landscape conservation – and that this database will add compelling visual force to our collective efforts to advance the practice of landscape conservation and achieve successes on the ground.
