A Closer Look At Landscape Conservation Cooperatives
In March 2009, Secretarial Order No. 3289 was signed, establishing the Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs). LCCs were designed to better integrate conservation and land management strategies across sectors and jurisdictions.
Today, 22 LCCs across the country form a network of stakeholders working collaboratively to identify best practices, connect efforts, identify science gaps, and avoid duplication through conservation planning and design.
